The Capital Pride Alliance is actively involved with the LGBTQ+ community all year long, planning large-scale events and educational programs, fundraising, doing outreach and advocacy, and supporting the work of our many community organizations. From the very start volunteers play a vital role in the success of Pride and the work 365 days of the year. Volunteering is an opportunity to meet new people, share new experiences, and give back to your community.

We are uncertain what kind of events we will be able to plan in 2021, but we are a creative and determined group of community leaders. We’d love for you to join our team, and help us create, plan, and advocate with us here in the Nation’s Capital. As part of the Capital Pride team you shape a host of different events and programs that help celebrate, educate and engage the LGBTQ+ community in the national capital region.

Our experienced Production Team consists of a core group of volunteers that are skilled and passionate about the work of the Capital Pride Alliance. They commit their time, year-round, to ensure the programs, events, programs and activities are produced successfully and professionally.

Are you a current undergraduate or graduate student, or have graduated no more than 12 months ago? Consider applying for a Pride internship to gain professional development opportunities in Marketing & Communications, Development & Fundraising, and Event Planning.

Our dedicated Board of Directors volunteer their time and expertise to fundraise, provide oversight, and help guide the organization to ensure we meet the needs of our diverse and vibrant community.
