National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Event

Join the African American Health Program and its partner organizations on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 1:30 PM to 4 PM at the Wheaton Community Recreation Center, located at11701 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton, Maryland.  A group of NAACP ACTSO teens will present an awareness skit about HIV and AIDS as seen through the eyes of young people, and a Black physician and researcher who specializes in HIV/ treatment and prevention will facilitate interactive audience discussion. The event will encourage attendees to know their status and increase their knowledge about prevention and treatment.  Information will be provided on PrEP and other preventative measures.  Enjoy Soft jazz by DJ One LUV and light refreshments. #NBHAAD
