The Capital Pride Alliance Announces Dates and Registration for the Annual Pride Celebration

Washington, DC (December 11, 2025) – The Capital Pride Alliance (CPA) is excited to announce that the Capital Pride 2026 Celebration will take place from June 12 through June 21, kicking off with the Capital Pride Honors and ending traditionally with the Capital Pride Parade and Festival. “As we look ahead to 2026, we’re transforming the legacy of WorldPride into a rallying cry, demanding visibility, defending our rights, and organizing for the safety and freedom of our community,” said Ryan Bos, CEO and President of the Capital Pride Alliance.

The Parade will be held on June 20, followed by the Festival and Concert on June 21. Registration is now officially open for organizations, artisans, and businesses that wish to participate in the celebration. The food vendor applications for the Festival will open in January 2026.

For over a decade, Capital Pride has taken place during the second weekend in June, but in 2026, we are shifting our dates in response to the city’s capacity due to major events and preparations for the 250th anniversary of the United States. This change ensures our community can gather safely and without unnecessary barriers. By moving the celebration, we are protecting our space and preserving Pride as a powerful act of visibility, solidarity, and resistance.

“Our Pride events thrive because of the passion and support of the community,” said Anna Jinkerson, CPA Board Chair. “In 2026, your involvement is more important than ever. Whether you volunteer, donate, or take part in the many Capital Pride programs and events, listen to Pride365 Radio and show your Pride by shopping online at the Pride365 Shop, your support helps sustain opportunities for LGBTQ+ artists, entrepreneurs, advocates, and community groups. Together, we continue the powerful legacy of Pride in the Nation’s Capital.”

The Pride Reveal will be scheduled at the end of February, where CPA will announce details about the celebration theme for 2026 and other exciting events during the Pride Celebration, as well as spotlight events and activities by our Pride365 partner organizations.
