Building a More Inclusive and Connected City For All
Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community, and their support plays a powerful role in sustaining the mission of the Capital Pride Alliance. When local businesses give, they help ensure that Pride events remain vibrant, accessible, and reflective of the diversity that makes Washington, DC so extraordinary. From funding year-round programs to amplifying LGBTQ+ visibility, small business contributions directly strengthen the spaces where our community gathers, celebrates, and thrives. Your partnership doesn’t just support Pride — it helps build a more inclusive and connected city for all.

One Time or Monthly Donations
When you donate to CPA, your contribution helps…
- Keep our annual Pride Festival and Concert free and accessible for everyone.
- Promote representation and inclusion in all of our Pride Celebration events.
- Supports volunteer coordination, training, and supplies that keep Pride safe, welcoming, and well-organized.
- Funds accessibility services such as ASL interpretation, closed captioning, or transportation assistance so everyone can fully participate.
- Cover 50% of the DC LGBTQ+ Community Center’s building operating costs.
- Support the Pride365 Fund that provides direct support to our LGBTQ+ non-profit Pride Partners, including the Diversity of Prides.
- Support our education and advocacy initiatives and events 365 days a year.

Cause Marketing and Co-Branded Partnerships
If your company wishes to do any of the following, it would qualify as a cause-related marketing partnership:
- Communicate that specific dollars or percentage of your proceeds will be given to Capital Pride Alliance.
- Market your intentions to give to Capital Pride Alliance to incentivize a purchase.
- Communicate that a purchase will benefit a specific program of our work, such as the Pride365 Fund or The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center.
Please note that you may not make any statement about donating a portion of the proceeds without our express written consent. New and small businesses should consider direct donations.
All charitable sales promotions are state regulated in order to protect consumers and charities. They require a signed cause-marketing agreement between the nonprofit and the company.

Portion of Proceeds from Product Sales, Events, or Services

- We deeply appreciate your interest and support; however, approval of your fundraising campaign does not constitute an endorsement—express or implied—of your product, service, company, opinions, or political positions.
- Fundraising activities that support the mission and values of Capital Pride Alliance will be considered. Employee Engagement through Workplace Giving
According to surveys, 86% of employees expect opportunities to become involved in charitable activities such as workplace giving. Employees who don’t take advantage of these programs say they don’t give because the causes they care about aren’t offered as a choice. Productivity increased by up to 13% when people are able to support the causes they care about.
Support our ongoing work through your Workplace Giving Program and you will become a member of our Capital Pride Employee Engagement Program.

Workplace Peer to Peer Fundraising/Competition
Rally your employees and/or customers around a special occasion (birthday, anniversary, in honor or in memory of someone special) or just because you’re feeling charitable and raise money for CPA! You can create a fundraising team or fundraise on your own. Consider creating friendly Workplace Pride Challenge (department or team fundraising competition) or develop incentives for your employees and customers to donate to your campaign.
You can share your fundraising efforts through your company or business social media and tag Capital Pride Alliance and we will share you efforts through our social media accounts too!
You may also create a team/company fundraising page here: Capital Pride Alliance. Get your social media followers and fans involved and share options to donate to your fundraiser!
