Chrissy Gephardt

Chrissy Gephardt is an Assistant Attorney General in the D.C. Office of the Attorney and has worked in the area of civil enforcement since 2011. Prior to joining the Elder Justice Section (EJS) of the Public Interest Division in 2019, Ms. Gephardt worked in the Civil Enforcement Section which serves to protect the public welfare through civil actions related to  occupational and professional licenses, small, local and disadvantaged business licenses, educational licenses and alcoholic beverage control licenses. As a member of EJS, Ms. Gephardt civilly prosecutes those who financially exploit elders and vulnerable adults seeking restitution, civil penalties and various forms of injunctive relief. Ms. Gephardt also conducts outreach in the District to educate the community on identifying and reporting elder abuse and exploitation. Ms. Gephardt received a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 2009. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Ms. Gephardt was a social worker.”
