Tonight the White House is lit in rainbow colors. Dec 13, 2022
About the photo: Today, President Biden signed the Respect for Marriage Act into law. The White House is lit in rainbow colors tonight. The last time the White House was lit in rainbow colors was under President Obama in 2015 after the Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, which guaranteed a constitutional right to same-sex marriage across America.
Happy Pride - yes, even in the middle of December. Be proud! Be kind!
Thanks to tcluderay for the heads-up.

On Thursday, #DC installed a permanent rainbow crosswalk at 17th and P Streets near Dupont Circle in honor of Pride month. The crosswalk colors include the traditional colors of the rainbow Pride flag, plus the colors of the transgender Pride flag — light blue, pink and white — along with brown and black stripes to represent LGBTQ persons of color. 📷: DDOT/Mario Sessions. #MyDCcool

Last night, I had the opportunity to do a “fireside” chat with #LGBTQ+ business leaders, about our journey of bringing WorldPride to Washington, DC in 2025. It was great to experience the genuine excitement for the unique opportunity DC has in welcoming over 2 million visitors from around the world for worldpridedc 2025!
.
Before speaking, I was surprised and honored to receive the Community Champion Award from the wbjnewsroom at their LGBTQ+ Business Awards. Thank you!
