Building a More Inclusive and Connected City For All
Small businesses are the heartbeat of our community, and their support plays a powerful role in sustaining the mission of the Capital Pride Alliance. When local businesses give, they help ensure that Pride events remain vibrant, accessible, and reflective of the diversity that makes Washington, DC so extraordinary. From funding year-round programs to amplifying LGBTQ+ visibility, small business contributions directly strengthen the spaces where our community gathers, celebrates, and thrives. Your partnership doesn’t just support Pride — it helps build a more inclusive and connected city for all.

Cause Marketing and Co-Branded Partnerships
If your company wishes to do any of the following, it would qualify as a cause-related marketing partnership:
- Communicate that specific dollars or percentage of your proceeds will be given to Capital Pride Alliance.
- Market your intentions to give to Capital Pride Alliance to incentivize a purchase.
- Communicate that a purchase will benefit a specific program of our work, such as the Pride365 Fund or The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center.
Please note that you may not make any statement about donating a portion of the proceeds without our express written consent. New and small businesses should consider direct donations.
All charitable sales promotions are state regulated in order to protect consumers and charities. They require a signed cause-marketing agreement between the nonprofit and the company.

Portion of Proceeds from Product Sales, Events, or Services
Show your customers you care and help create year-round impact by donating a percentage of sales from your products, services, events, or auctions. All third-party fundraising efforts must be approved in advance and formalized through an agreement with Capital Pride Alliance.
To request approval, please complete this form. (See Word Document with online application for product sales and point of sale.)
Before filling out the form, please note:
- We deeply appreciate your interest and support; however, approval of your fundraising campaign does not constitute an endorsement—express or implied—of your product, service, company, opinions, or political positions.
- Fundraising activities that support the mission and values of Capital Pride Alliance will be considered. Please understand that we cannot approve campaigns that promote items or activities that are harmful, discriminatory, adult or pornographic in nature, or otherwise inconsistent with our mission to advance visibility, uplift the LGBTQ+ community, and foster inclusive and safe spaces.
