The iconic Capital Pride Parade is emblematic of the historic Pride movement organized by the Capital Pride Alliance. This beloved tradition honors our history and acknowledges the evolution of the LGBTQ+ neighborhoods in Washington, DC, while respecting the origins and importance of taking to the streets in our fight for equality.

Monroe Alise
Actress & Trans Advocate
Monroe Alise is an actress, media personality, host, digital creator, and trans advocate known for using storytelling to inspire visibility, authenticity, and empowerment. She is recognized for her appearances on STARZ’s P-Valley, Showtime’s The Chi, and made her feature film debut in 2025 with Fighting To Be Me: The Dwen Curry Story. A respected keynote speaker, community advocate, and public figure, Monroe has used her platform to advance conversations around LGBTQIA+ visibility, health equity, and social justice. As the creator of the viral digital series “I’m
CLOCKABLE,” she has built a platform that generated more than 6 million views in a recent 90-day period through candid conversations on identity, culture, dating, and self-discovery. Known as a connecting conversationalist, Monroe brings authenticity, warmth, and cultural insight to every stage, screen, and conversation.
David Archuleta
Singer & Songwriter
On Season 7 of American Idol, David Archuleta made over 30 million television viewers swoon with his angelic voice, ultimately winning runner-up on the show at the age of seventeen. His journey has included turning out multiple platinum-selling hits, achieving global acclaim as a live performer, becoming a New York Times Bestselling author and emerging as an undeniable fixture on the pop-culture scene. Since his first single “Crush,” he has released eight studio albums, twenty-four singles, and twenty-one music videos. Hit singles “Crème Brulée” and “Hell Together” have marked a striking evolution and new chapter for David as an artist and creative entrepreneur while continuing to expand his audience globally. Having grown up as a poster child for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, David struggled to be his true self and didn’t come out as queer until 2021. He now advocates for members of the LGBTQ+ community. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

Relax in shaded seating under the trees while watching the Prideful floats, performers, and thousands of community members march.

Accessibility
Parade ASL & Accessible Seating Location:
Location #1: 14th St & T St NW (in front of Room & Board)
- Admission: Entry is free, but registration is required for a wristband.
- Accommodations: ASL INTERPRETATION ONLY. This area does not have any accessible seating or viewing areas. Please proceed to Franklin Park or Thomas Circle locations.
- Hours of Operation: Entry begins at 2:30 PM. Area closes after the conclusion of the Parade.
Location #2: Franklin Park – 957 14th Street NW
- Admission: Entry is free, but registration is required for a wristband.
- Accommodations: Folding chairs and space reserved for wheelchairs available on a first come first serve basis. ASL interpretation provided. Registration does not guarantee entry due to capacity.
- Hours of Operation: Entry begins at 2:30 PM. Area closes after the conclusion of the Parade.
Location #3: Thomas Circle NW (sidewalk over Massachusetts Ave between National City Church and Wawa).
- Admission: Entry is free, but registration is required for a wristband.
- Accommodations: Folding chairs, with limited shade. No ASL interpretation at this location.
- Hours of Operation: Entry begins at 2:30 PM. Area closes after the conclusion of the Parade.

Capital Pride Family Fun Festival
Saturday, June 20th
11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Stead Park, 1625 P Street NW, Washington, DC
Join us at Stead Park for a vibrant celebration of community, creativity, and Pride! This inclusive and joyful event is designed for families and children to enjoy a day of fun, connection, and laughter before the Capital Pride Parade. Explore a variety of activities, including games, crafts, glitter tattoos, hair tinsel, story time, an inflatable obstacle course, photo ops, and more!
Our official Family Area is a welcoming space for all ages — while especially enjoyed by children ages 2–10. Everyone is invited to take part in the festivities.
We’re grateful to the Friends of Stead Park and the DC Department of Parks and Recreation for hosting this special celebration!
Each family/household must register individually. You only need to reserve one ticket for your family/household.
Parade FAQs
- When is the parade?
Saturday, June 20, 2026. - Where is the parade?
The Parade is anticipated to begin at 14th and T Streets NW and end at Pennsylvania Avenue and 14th Streets NW. Please note that the route is subject to change. - What time does the parade start?
3:00PM. - When does the parade end?
The Parade is anticipated to end by 8:00PM. Most contingents may be on the route for UP TO 2 hours. The pace of the Parade regulates this. - What time do I show up?
Staging assignments will be provided in June 2026. - Do I need to have a pass to enter the staging area?
Yes! Your pass will be sent to the email used for your registration 1 week prior to the event. The pass may be used by the onsite contact for your contingent. - How many people can I have in my contingent?
You may have up to 100 people for a marching contingent, 75 people if bringing a car/truck, or 50 people if bringing a float. You may have up to 5 motorcycles in your contingent. - How vehicles/floats can I have in my group?
You may have one (1) float/vehicle per registration. Additional vehicles/floats may be added for an additional fee. - How much for extra people/vehicles/floats?
$5 per person, $35, per motorcycle, Tier 1 $200 per vehicle, Tier 2 $400 per vehicle, Tier 3 $600 per vehicle. (Please contact Mike Alexander at [email protected] if you are a Tier 4.) - What roads will be closed?

For MARCHERS, a certificate of insurance is not needed. For FLOATS & VEHICLES insurance is needed and should be secured by your registered organization’s insurance company. Please read our registration page for more details. - When is orientation?
Orientation will be held in May 2026. Please stay tuned for more information! - What Tier do I fall under?

Due to limited space, the parade is only open to registered public groups, organizations, and businesses. - Can I take photos during the event?
