Are you ready to share your Pride with the world? Whether you’re decorating your porch, door, window, yard, office, or business, the options are limitless!

Participant

Registration for this event is free. By registering, your creation will be featured on our interactive community map, indicating the locations and descriptions of each installation. Register by May 28^th and receive a FREE Paint the Town Colorful with Pride sign to proudly display with your creation! Each sign will include a QR code that will direct onlookers to our interactive community map, as well as a direct link to the GivePride365 Fund donation page, benefitting local LGBTQ+ charities.

Supporter

Become a Colorful Pride Supporter today! Would you like to help spread Pride in your community while also supporting local LGBTQ+ charities? Simply create a personal fundraising page during the registration process! Your participation will provide special access to perks through our participating partners, and every $100 you raise will make you eligible for exciting prize drawings. In addition, your yard sign will include a special QR code that will direct onlookers to your personal fundraising page.

Activist

Shine brighter! Are you a local business or organization that wants to make your support for Pride loud and clear? Join our charitable campaign by committing to raise a minimum of $1,000 during the month of June! Whether you’re providing your unique fundraising QR code to your customers at your store’s checkout or sharing it via window displays or on social media, your participation is appreciated. In addition to all perks listed above, your participation will entitle you to:

An exclusive business/organization profile and inclusion in virtual tours as part of the 2021 virtual Pride365 Expo Tour (View Example from the 2020 Out Brigade.)
Free registration to participate in the Capital Pridemobile on June 12, 2021
Exclusive promotional postings on Capital Pride’s social media channels (1 post per platform)
A feature in a promotional email-blast

Decorating

We encourage you to decorate your most public facing space. Common examples include yards, patios, porches, balconies, yards, entranceways, and windows.
You’re encouraged to include at least one of each color of the progressive rainbow in your display (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet, black, brown, light blue, white, and pink).
Displays should refrain from displaying profanity, violence, or affiliation to a candidate or political party.
Consider including lights for nighttime displays!
Remember to have fun!

Rules and Regulations

Paint the Town Colorful with Pride will run from June 1-30, 2021.
Participants who wish to be eligible for prizes must register as a Supporter or Activist by June 10, 2021.
Show your Pride by colorfully decorating in Pride colors something visible to the public.
Displays should refrain from displaying profanity, violence, or affiliation to a candidate or political party.
The Capital Pride Alliance may exclude any displays for any reason.
Participants of the Paint the Town with Pride Parade without limitation or compensation, allow the Capital Pride Alliance to use or produce images and/or video of your registered displays.
Social – Once you have completed your creation, capture video and photos to show off your Pride! Post them on social media using the hashtag #ColorfulDMV and tag @CapitalPrideDC for a chance to be featured.
