ACTIVATE: Building the Capacity of Leaders on the Frontlines

Overview: 

ACTIVATE is a professional development program designed for Black, Latinx TGNCNB, and POC community leaders with two years or more of advocacy and community organizing experience. ACTIVATE is an expanded version of the ELEVATE fellowship. ACTIVATE seeks to provide an in-depth and comprehensive training curriculum that addresses the core skills needed to advance access to leadership roles in the LGBTQ nonprofit sector. Participants will receive a stipend upon successful completion of the program.

August 2020 – July 2020

Virtual Training Dates: 

August 28 & 29, 2020

Participant Eligibility: 

• Must identify as a trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming Black, Latinx or person of color (BPOC)
• Must work in a leadership role with at least two years of experience in direct services or advocacy; work affiliation at a minority-serving community-based organization is preferred but not required
• Must be willing to commit to a one-year cohort
• Must be committed to advancing access and equality for trans, non-binary or gender non-conforming Black or a person of color (BPOC)
