Support the Legacy, Voice, and Visibility of our LGBTQ+ Community!
Today through Friday, all donations in the amounts of $25 or $50 will be matched dollar for dollar by our generous friends at Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Pepco, and Heineken.
Your donation in any amount will make a difference!
The Capital Pride Alliance (CPA) has set a goal of $20,000 to raise in the month of December through the “#StillWeGive” End-of-Year Giving Campaign. Your donation, combined with those from many of our friends, will help offset the financial losses incurred during this past year due to cancelled in-person events and programming. As we continue to navigate through this pandemic, your contribution will strengthen the resources needed in 2021 and beyond. While we do not know what 2021 has in store for us, we do know that our organization will continue to rely on the generosity of our community and stakeholders to help us remain strong and resilient and help keep the legacy of Pride alive for years to come.
Your gift will help grow collaborative advocacy, outreach, education, and programming in support of our intersectional community, expand access to programs to ensure inclusivity, secure resources to meet accessibility needs, and provide tools to help assist in volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition of organization and community leaders. In addition, your support will ensure that our community can continue to produce events such as the annual Pride Parade, Festival, Trans Pride, API Pride, and other inspiring events, while keeping them free to the public.

As we continue to navigate this pandemic, the recent news about upcoming vaccines is very promising. We continue planning for the community to celebrate Pride 2021 in some capacity, though we are not certain yet exactly what that will look like. Your support is needed to prepare for 2021 and for the Capital Pride Festival and Concert to return in full force in 2022 on Pennsylvania, Ave.
Capital Pride Parade
We are eager to bring back the historic Capital Pride Parade to honor the history and recognize the evolution of the LGBTQ+ community in the National Capital Region and beyond. Our Legacy
In addition to helping ensure the Capital Pride Alliance will have the resources to further its advocacy, outreach, education, and programming in support of our intersectional community, your contribution at any level will help keep the legacy of Pride alive as we get through this pandemic and prepare for the 50th Anniversary of Pride in the Nation’s Capital in 2025.
The protests from which Pride celebrations originated remain at the heart of the annual commemorations. Because the accomplishments for which we have fought so hard and struggled so long have been in peril, the LGBTQ+ community must join with one another and with other civil rights communities to proclaim very clearly that the rights we’ve secured are here to stay, and those we have lost must be restored.
