Join GLOE – GLBTQ Outreach & Engagement at the Edlavitch DCJCC and our friends for a community support gathering to be held at The DC Center in response to the recent tragedy in Pittsburgh. Openly gay Jewish psychiatrist Dr. Stuart Sotsky will be leading a facilitated conversation where individuals can share their thoughts and feelings, and collectively process this trauma in a safe, LGBTQ-centered space. Queer female Rabbi Laurie Green of Bet Mishpachah will begin the program with Jewish insights on grief, and vegetarian dinner will be provided to all attendees, thanks to the generosity of Rachel S. Wolkowitz and Mindy Gasthalter.
This convening is free (pre-registration requested) and open to all allies of the LGBTQ Jewish community, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, and ability. For accommodation requests, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
