The Human Rights Campaign will host a Día de los Muertos celebration honoring the 22 trans people who have been murdered in the US just in 2018 and the 49 members of our community we lost at the PULSE nightclub shooting. The altar is also open to members of our community to bring pictures of loved ones they’ve lost and offerings for them.
The festivities will include a short reception, followed by a Q&A with the altar artist Jose Gutierrez from the LBGT Latino History Project and a spoken word performance by Xemiyulu Tapepechul.
