Summary:

Capital Pride is a community event that remains focused on diversity, cultural achievement, civil rights issues and entertainment by and for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender individuals, families and friends. Capital Pride celebrates the unique heritage and history of the GLBT community in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area.

Capital Pride features a weeklong series of events ranging in scope from the ever popular street festival and parade to the enlightening town hall meeting, and educational workshops. Other annual events have included the Mr. and Miss Capital Pride pageant, the interfaith service, workshops, receptions and special parties.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Gay and Lesbian Community

Both nationally and locally, the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender communities have proven to be a very unique and appealing group of consumers.
