The DC Anti-Violence Project will use spoken word, dance, poetry, visual art, and other forms of artistic expression to bring DC LGBT communities together for a night of healing and self-expression to prevent violence in and against our communities and to support the survivors that live in our midst.

After the violence against our diverse LGBT communities in Orlando, many in the DC area have responded with nationwide calls for healing, justice, and collective action. In light of the emotional, visceral reaction that has been felt through the country, we seek also to highlight the motivation that has been sparked around more local, community-oriented needs.
