The Capital Pride Alliance is excited to continue the free outdoor movie series for the community, with a sceening on Monday, October 2. Join us at Shaw Recreation Center (Rhode Island Ave and 10th St. NW); bring a blanket, your picnic basket full of treats, and enjoy a fun movie under the stars.
The movie that recevied the most vote from the community through social media polls is – Mean Girls! This 2004 American comedy, written by Tina Fey, tells the story of Cady, the Queen Bees, and Wannabes. Cady is a hit with The Plastics, the A-list girl clique at her new school, until she makes the mistake of falling for Aaron Samuels, the ex-boyfriend of alpha Plastic Regina George. Oh no she didn’t!
This family friendly event is free and open to the public. Pets are welcome, but park rules require a leash.
