All Souls Memorial Episcopal Church church50
Located in Woodley Park just off Connecticut Avenue, we strive to live out our name, that we might truly be a community for All Souls. It doesn’t matter to us whether you’ve never been to church before, have been away for a while or might be a longtime Episcopalian. It doesn’t matter to us that you might be from another Christian tradition, from another faith altogether, or might simply be seeking a place of peace. All souls are welcome.  Some people know us from our Saturday farmer’s market. Others attend meetings in our building, enjoy our gardens or take advantage of parish programs. Many come for our celebration of the Holy Eucharist—most weeks the Mass is celebrated on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday. Precisely because our worship uses old words and ancient ritual, we find that this frees us to continue building a community that is diverse and loving, filled with celebration and joy.  Join us when you can and help us continue to welcome all souls.

Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA)cfsa

The District’s Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) is the local public organization authorized to protect child victims of abuse and neglect. Our mission is to improve the safety, permanence, and well being of abused and neglected children and young people up to age 21 in the District. We work to achieve four principle outcomes: Keep children safe from abuse and neglect; strengthen troubled families; meet the developmental needs of children and teens in our care and ensure children and teens we serve group up in stable, nurturing families or have relationships with caring adults for life-long support.

The LBGT community has been instrumental in helping CFSA meet these four principles by becoming foster and adoptive parents. Your help continues to be needed for the 2000 children currently in foster care and the 250 children available for adoption. Interested? If so, CFSA invites you to attend one of our two-hour orientation sessions held twice a month. This is the place to get introductory information, ask questions, and learn about the challenges and rewards of foster care and adoption.  Please call us at (202) 671-LOVE (5683) or visit us on the web • www.cfsa.dc.gov
